Artworks by BLNK BLNKART （ブランカート）の屋号で英国と日本を拠点に、テキスタイルデザインを中心としたアート活動を行っております。 工芸✕芸術をテーマに、アート表現の服地を一点物で製作。布の素材選定・糸設計・デザインなど最初から最後まで関わり、過去の繊維産業における工場への負担を顧みて、工場へ直接お伺いするフェイス・トゥ・フェイスのやり取りを心がけています。自作のインクを使用した手描き原画でのテキスタイル製作をしており、原画の額装販売も行っております。 コロナの際に日本のテキスタイルに興味を持って産地巡りを始めたところ、世界シェアで見ても、国内で見ても、量産国でない日本の国内生産は約2%弱という、日本の産地の縮小がやまない現状を目の当たりにしました。 年々閉業する工場が増え、各地方で苦しいなか一生懸命に、独自性のあるものを作り続けている職人達が守ってきたものづくりを絶やさない為にできることがないか、工場が量産型でなくても生き残る可能性を模索し、布の独自性を育てていくことを前提としたものづくりを試みています。 それが、高機能素材では世界トップクラスのシェアを誇る分野もある、日本の高度なものづくりが生き残る一つの方向性とじて。 コンペやイベントなどへの出展も含めた自分の活動を通して、産地の職人や工芸職人、アーティストたちへ、生地や材料や加工などオーダーをして還元していければという目標を持ちつつ活動しています。 自作インクで描いたデザイン画で模様を作り、布や磁器など様々な生地にプリントしてアパレル・インテリア・文房具なども制作。オリジナルデザインの布で製作する服は、基本的にサンプルを基にした受注生産となっております。 自作インク入りのネックレスやピアスなどアクセサリーも制作しています。蓋を開けると実際にインクとして使用可能です。 ＊ラメ入り・蓄光材入り・顔料インクは硝子ペン用インクとなり、通常の万年筆での使用は目詰まりを起こす可能性がありますのでお勧めしておりません。 他にも、欧州の街並みや建築の写真集・キャンバスプリントなども作っています。写真を使ったテキスタイルデザインも行っております。 お問い合わせは上記のFORMか、左下のメールアイコンよりどうぞ。 BLNK is a textile artist based in the UK and Japan. Guided by the idea that craftsmanship meets art, I create one-of-a-kind textiles as works of art. I am involved in every stage of the process, from selecting materials and engineering yarns to developing the final design. Understanding the historical challenges faced by the textile industry, I prioritize visiting factories in person and building relationships through face-to-face collaboration. Every BLNKART textile begins as an original hand-drawn design and is printed using custom-developed inks. These original works are also available as textile artworks for interior spaces. BLNK also creates original made inks, presented in unique inkwells designed to be kept and worn as accessories. These inks can also be used as writing ink with glass dip pens. Glitter and pigment-based inks are not recommended for conventional fountain pens, as they may cause clogging. These inks are intended for use with glass dip pens. BLNK also produces photography books and canvas prints featuring mainly European cityscapes, landscapes, and architecture. Selected photographs are also incorporated into textile designs.
